HOW DOES PLANNED MAINTENANCE WORK?
When the given maintenance season is upon us (heating or cooling), we will contact you to set up a time to come in and go through your equipment.
The cooling season checks start in April or May when the temperature rises enough to check your air conditioning system. We need to have a minimum temperature of 65° or better for at least one solid week before we can properly assess the performance of your air conditioner.
The heating season checks start in September or October as we are readying for the soon to arrive winter.
As part of your maintenance agreement we service your equipment and make sure it is running as good as the day it was installed, with clean cabinets and a fresh filter.
One of the keys to planned maintenance is if you prepay for service and you have equipment problems we have a reduced service rate for the rest of the season.
This is a PRE-PAID service. Your signed agreement and payment must be received prior to the equipment check.

Owatonna Public Utilities offers a $25.00 clean & check rebate for preventative maintenance. This is something customers can apply for every 2 (two) years. Planned Maintenance Customers are also eligible for this rebate. Other energy suppliers also have this type of rebate available.
